Marc A. Kaufman's practice encompasses a wide variety of legal issues within
negligence litigation, including personal injury, medical malpractice and wrongful death matters.

From 1973 through 2002, prior to the commencement of Marc A. Kaufman & Associates, Mr. Kaufman practiced in the personal injury law firm of Brumer Cohen Logan Kandell & Kaufman, one of the most respected large sized law firms servicing clients in Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties. At Brumer Cohen, he represented numerous clients in tort matters and had the unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in a large law firm with a fifty year history. Through his experiences at a large law firm, Mr. Kaufman gained extensive training and valuable familiarity with the practice of law.

Mr. Kaufman's transition from a large law firm to a smaller practice illustrates the primary reason why he chose to become an attorney, his desire and dedication to fight for the rights of individuals who have been harmed or injured. Mr. Kaufman's experience with a large law firm puts him a step above the competition in taking on clients in civil litigation and outmaneuvering the defense approach of large law firm attorneys.

Mr. Kaufman attended the City University of New York, Bernard M. Baruch College, in New York City, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1969. During the summer of 1968, he worked for an international accounting firm on Wall Street. After obtaining his college degree, with a major in accounting, Mr. Kaufman attended Brooklyn Law School, where he earned a Juris Doctor degree in 1972. At Brooklyn Law School, he participated in and received an award for his moot court competition. Mr. Kaufman obtained his license to practice law in Florida in 1973.

In the summer of 1970, Mr. Kaufman served as a judicial intern to the New York Appellate Court system. His experience as a judicial intern afforded him the extraordinary and indispensable opportunity to learn the internal functions of the judicial system, including what persuades law clerks and judges to rule favorable on both written and oral legal arguments. Mr. Kaufman utilizes these valuable tools to aggressively represent the interests of his clients.

Mr. Kaufman is a member of various organizations and bar associations, including the American Bar Association, Florida Bar Association, Association of Trial Lawyers of America, Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, Broward County Bar Association, Broward County Trial Lawyers Association, South Palm Beach Bar Association and Miami-Dade Bar Association.

Mr. Kaufman serves on the Board of Directors for the South Palm Beach Bar Association and has served on the Panel of Arbitrators for the American Arbitration Association. He has also conducted continuing legal education courses and has written an outline for civil practice.

Additionally, Mr. Kaufman has an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell. An AV Rating is the highest rating given to an attorney.
